All right so now we are hitting the shark themed restaurants, but do not worry there is not a real big shark problem down here, so it is still safe to enjoy the beach. Shark’s Cove has an incredibly huge menu and includes everything from classic American foods to Italian and Mexican. All of the major food groups are covered here including seafood, pastas, beef, pork, and yes even desserts.

My eating companion who would normally for one of the italian Parmesan Subs at the specialty Sandwich Co. He wanted to try something different so he ordered the Veal Cordon Bleu. For .29 this was a great sandwich, and a great buy.

These kitchen appliances are great for buffets and dinner around me as you can transfer your meal directly to the table. The keep warm setting allows for food to stand for hours whilst being kept warm. I simply transfer the skillet directly to the table and let people serve themselves. Gone are the days when i had a stack full of serving plates to wash up.

I had my first “Whopper” from Burger King in 1966 in Chicago. As a kid, I loved their char grilled burgers with fresh ingredients. I haven’t had one in years but recently I ordered a Whopper at our local Burger King and was incredibly disappointed with the service and product. I got something that was whipped together with little expertise and mashed down. Frankly, it didn’t resemble anything like what i first experienced 41 years ago.

The dining experience starts out with a homemade loaf of bread, and a platter of homemade bruschetta. You don’t have to order it as an appetizer unless you really love it and have to have more, because this is included in the price of your meal. All dinners platters also come with a fresh salad. Then comes the meal. There are so many delicious things to choose from from simple pasta and meatballs to creatively prepared chicken, veal, and seafood platters.

The Sugar Shack is one of the first restaurants you see as you drive on 1st Street on Tybee. Look for it on the left hand side of 1st Street as you are headed for the beaches or on the right side as you are headed off of Tybee Island.
